At the downtown clock tower for the annual International Women's Day March down King street hosted by The Zonta Club and The Chatham-Kent Women's Center.
The march will lead us to The Garden Event Space (formerly The River Rock) where Sisters Strain Film Corp. have partnered with SheLeads to prepare an afternoon of celebration and entertainment for all of the amazing women of Chatham-Kent
The Event is free admission with pay what you can donations going to the Chatham-Kent Women's Center.
This event is a kick off to the filming of a Chatham-Kent focused documentary series, filmed by The Sisters Strain, which highlights the work women of Chatham-Kent are contributing to their homes and communities. The event will be filmed as part of the project. Guests will have a chance to mix and mingle with the women/organizations that will be featured in the documentary as well as be invited to speak to the sisters on camera to possibly be included in the documentary.
The goal is for The Sisters Strain to also host an event next International Women's Day, March 8th, 2026 in which participants will march to The Capitol Theatre in order to watch the final edit of the documentary titled "This Women's Work"

Meet the women/organizations that will be featured in the documentary through an interactive activity with the chance to win prizes!
Stop by the documentary set up and speak with The Sisters Strain if you'd like to be included in the project
Lite Refreshments, Cupcakes
and Live Entertainment
Welcome cocktails, appetizers and cupcakes will be provided and there will be a full cash bar for additional beverage purchases
We'll have a DJ, dance floor and maybe even a little karaoke...
